The Goldmine Smoke Shop & Gifts

The Goldmine Smoke Shop & Gifts is one of those little spots in Idaho Springs that people genuinely light up about. Ask anyone who shops here and you'll hear the same thing: the staff make the place. Nikki, the owner, has a reputation for knowing her stuff, and locals single out Tina as well for being easy to talk to and quick to help you find what you came in for. More than one person has walked out so happy they circled back just to say thanks, which tells you plenty about how this shop treats folks.

For a small store, Goldmine packs in a lot. You'll find rolling papers, vapes along with a solid run of e-liquid and vape juice, glass pipes and water pipes, tobacco pipes, a small but serviceable cigar assortment, and all the smoking accessories you'd expect. We've heard it's the kind of place that comes through when other shops can't; one regular had hunted all over the Denver and Lakewood area for specific terp pen coils and finally tracked them down here. Another was after a non-minty menthol and left a happy customer.

If there's a particular something on your list, it's worth asking. The word around Idaho Springs is that the prices are fair and honest, and the team isn't shy about cutting a regular a better deal when they can. Beyond the smoke shop side, there are gifts and little goodies worth a browse, including a genuinely good incense selection: Satya staples like Nag Champa, Palo Santo, and Dragon's Blood among them. People describe the vibe as warm and welcoming, the kind of easy in-and-out stop where the person behind the counter actually makes your day a little better.

For a well-regarded local favorite with a strong following, Goldmine earns the loyalty. Stop in next time you're passing through.
