Tobacco Depot has been part of the Clearwater, Florida scene since 1995, and locals will tell you the cigar selection is the real draw here. Three walk-in humidors mean there's a genuinely deep lineup to dig through, with names like Drew Estate, La Aurora, Rocky Patel, AJ Fernandez, and Oliva on the shelves. One regular came in looking for something specific and walked out with a Drew Estate egg cigar and a Chupacabra, hard-to-find sticks he said he hadn't spotted anywhere else in town. As someone else put it, this is one of their absolute favorite spots in Clearwater: a nice-looking store with high-quality cigars at fair prices.

For a small shop, the range surprises people. Beyond the cigars you'll find cigarettes, vapes, e-liquid and vape juice, rolling papers, CBD and hemp products, and the everyday smoking accessories. Snuff and other tobacco are here too, and the crew knows their stuff. One newcomer, freshly retired and price-shocked coming down from Virginia, got a full education on buying in bulk to stretch a dollar further.

The word around Clearwater is that when the service is on, it's warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. That said, locals are a little split on this one lately. Some folks have had frustrating run-ins with management and say the atmosphere hasn't felt the same, while plenty of others keep coming back for the humidors and the prices. Worth knowing before you go, and worth judging for yourself.
