Rody's Records sits at an interesting crossroads in downtown Savannah: a genuine record store with a smoke shop attached, and folks around town are fond of both halves. The vinyl side pulls in the diggers, but there's also a good stock of vapes and smoking accessories for anyone stopping by on the smoke shop side, and people who've been in say the guys working that counter are just as friendly and helpful as the crew up front.

Ask anyone who spends time here and Keith and Mark come up fast. Locals will tell you these two know their stuff, from what's in the racks to where to catch live music around the area, and they're happy to let you linger and talk. That old-school feel is a big part of the draw. Nobody hovers, nobody pushes you to buy, and more than one person has mentioned walking in for ten minutes and losing an afternoon. The selection runs deep and covers a lot of ground: classical, jazz, soul, blues, rock, and pop, used and new, all organized so you can actually dig. We've heard the classical and jazz sections in particular turn up records you don't stumble on every day. There are shirts, posters, and other memorabilia too.

The word around Savannah is that Rody's isn't the cheapest spot in town, and folks are a little split on the pricing and the shop's policy of keeping sealed vinyl sealed. That said, plenty of people find the prices fair for what they're getting, and the reputation here is strong.
