Amsterdam Life has become one of the better-known smoke and vape shops in Oak Island, and the word around town is that the people behind the counter are what keep folks coming back. Ask anyone who shops here and the first thing they'll bring up is the service. Zach gets named again and again for making first-timers feel like they've been coming in for years, walking them around the store and grabbing everything they need. Adrian and DJ get the same kind of praise.

One newcomer said DJ took real time to explain a product he knew nothing about, answered every question without rushing him, and did it all while juggling a busy floor. That customer has been back ten times since. The shelves cover a lot of ground. They stock vapes and disposable vapes, a solid wall of e-liquid and vape juice, glass pipes and water pipes, rolling papers, CBD and hemp products, and the everyday smoking accessories you'd expect.

Regulars describe it as the kind of place where there's always something new worth a look, and the prices get called fair by people who shop around. One longtime vaper compared the service here to the early days of Mad Vapes, which around these parts is high praise. A couple of folks have grumbled about the doors being locked before the posted closing time or the shop opening later than the schedule says, so if you're making a special trip early or near the 10pm close, a quick call ahead never hurts. That aside, the overwhelming feeling from people here is warmth and know-how.

It's a well-liked vape shop in Oak Island with a crew that clearly enjoys the work, and most who walk in once end up walking back in soon after.
