Waterbeds 'n' Stuff has been part of the Columbus scene since 1972, and half a century in, it's still one of the most beloved oddball shops in the city. One regular summed up the vibe perfectly: imagine a crossover between Spencer's Gifts, Cheech and Chong's basement, a fantasy stronghold, and a furniture showroom. That's not far off. You can genuinely lose an hour wandering the aisles here, taking in everything from smoking gear to costumes, fantasy sculptures, mind-puzzle games, pocket and utility knives, party lights, and, yes, actual waterbeds and futons.

On the smoke shop side, the selection is deep. They carry glass pipes and water pipes, vaporizers, grinders, rolling papers, and a full run of smoking accessories, plus hookah and shisha and detox products. You'll find names like Puffco and Randy's on the shelves. If you're not sure exactly what you're after, the staff will happily sort it out.
