Freaky's Smoke Shop & Tattoo VI Academy

Freaky's Smoke Shop & Tattoo VI Academy in Colorado Springs covers two bases under one roof: a smoke shop stocked with vapes, glass pipes and water pipes, vaporizers, and all the smoking accessories you'd expect to grab in one trip, plus a tattoo and piercing studio with its own following. The shop has built a strong reputation around town, and the smoke shop side of things is where a lot of the goodwill comes from. People who shop here keep coming back for the friendly welcome and the easy-on-the-wallet prices.

As one regular put it, the place is clean, the staff are polite, and the low prices "can't be beat." The word around Colorado Springs is that Donnie earns a lot of that trust at the counter, with folks calling him reliable and respectful. Whoever is working the front desk tends to get the same kind words, and that laid-back, no-pressure feel is a big part of why locals treat this as a spot to linger rather than rush through. On the tattoo side, Monica has become the name people ask for.

Ask anyone who's sat in her chair and you'll hear about her detail, her chill manner, and how she genuinely cares about the work. More than one person has said they plan to finish the rest of their ink with her, and families have come in together for matching pieces. We'll be straight with you: locals are a little split on the piercing service, and a few have walked away unhappy with how they were treated there.

That's worth knowing going in. For the smoke shop glass, vapes, and accessories, and for Monica's tattoo work, Freaky's has earned its place as a favorite stop in Colorado Springs.
