Freaky's Smoke Shop & Tattoo

Freaky's Smoke Shop & Tattoo has built a strong name for itself in Denver, and it's easy to see why so many folks keep coming back. This is a tobacco shop stocked with vapes, glass pipes and water pipes, vaporizers, and all the smoking accessories you'd expect to find under one roof. We've heard good things about the butane selection too, and the staff know their stock well enough to answer a question on the spot. One regular called ahead fifteen minutes before closing, got a straight answer, drove over, and was out the door with what he needed, friendly help included.

The team is a big part of the draw here. Ask anyone who shops at Freaky's and the word comes back again and again that the staff are laid back, genuinely helpful, and fun to deal with. People mention the two women working the floor as a real pleasure, and the guys get the same praise for taking their time. One shopper spent a good while talking through options before settling on a Mario glass tray with a matching lid, and left saying they'd be back.

That kind of unhurried, no-pressure help is the reason this spot earns loyalty. Beyond the smoke shop side, Freaky's does piercing and body jewelry, and the piercer known as Prince has a loyal following of his own. Locals come back specifically for him, and more than one person has mentioned how he keeps you calm and takes the time to explain aftercare and answer questions. There's a community board up front too, which tells you this is a place woven into the Denver neighborhood it serves.

Worth knowing: Freaky's runs an all-sales-final policy, and we've heard the occasional frustration from people who hoped to swap something out. If that matters to you, it's a good idea to double-check your purchase before you leave the counter. That aside, this remains one of the more popular smoke shops in Denver, and the warm welcome is a big reason why.
