JKD Vapes/Smokes

Downtown Denver folks who keep late hours know JKD Vapes/Smokes as a reliable stop when most everything else nearby has closed up. For anyone staying at a hotel or living in the area, it fills a real gap, and as one regular put it, there really is no other place like it within a ten block radius. The shelves cover the essentials: vapes and disposables, e-liquid and vape juice, cigarettes, plus nicotine pouches like Zyn and Velo and the usual smoking accessories.

Most of the goodwill here comes back to David, the owner. Ask anyone who shops with him regularly and they'll tell you he remembers their name and their usual order. We've heard he goes out of his way to help newcomers sort through the selection and answer every question without rushing.

More than one person has a story about the staff literally chasing them down the street to return sunglasses left on the counter, which tells you something about how they treat people. The word around Denver is that the prices are fair and the lineup is deep for a shop this size. Now, locals are a little split on this one.

A few people have walked away unhappy about how a purchase was handled, so it's worth being clear on what you're buying before you pay. That said, the bulk of what we hear leans warmly toward the friendly service and the convenience of having a well-stocked smoke shop open late in the middle of downtown. If you're nearby and need to restock after hours, JKD is an easy call.
