Casbar Cigar

Casbar Cigar has become one of those Lafayette spots people genuinely look forward to walking into. The humidor runs deep, with a selection that covers everything from the highest-end sticks to solid, lower-cost smokes, so you can come in for a special occasion or just a regular afternoon and find something right. Locals will tell you the lounge is the real draw. It's spacious, clean, and quiet enough to read a book or catch up on the game, and the regulars have a way of making newcomers feel like they belong from the first visit.

The staff here get named by name around town, and that tells you something. Ask anyone who shops at Casbar and you'll hear about Kevin and Patrick helping dial in a cigar selection, or Chad holding down a great conversation, or Mat and Matt taking the time to walk a first-timer through the options. People who shop here swear by how knowledgeable and easy-going the crew is, and no one makes you feel rushed. The complimentary coffee gets mentioned a lot too, usually paired with a cold brew and a comfortable chair.

One thing we've heard more than once is how far people will travel for this place. One regular drove over an hour chasing a specific box, found it, found even better sticks while he was there, and has kept coming back ever since for the same warm welcome. That kind of loyalty, plus a reputation that sits well above most cigar shops in the area, says plenty. If you're after a cigar shop in Lafayette with a serious selection, smoking accessories, and a lounge built for actually relaxing, Casbar Cigar is an easy recommendation.

The crowd tends to be a friendly, mid-age mix, and the vibe stays welcoming if you're a longtime enthusiast or just getting into it.
